Choosing a Handbag to Suit Your Personality

There are millions of handbag designs on today's consistently evolving fashion market. There are many factors to consider when choosing a new handbag; size, color and label are the top 3 elements in the decision process. So how do you find the perfect handbag that looks amazing and is an accurate depiction of your personality? I'll tell you - it may take looking through a number of handbags but, hey, who's complaining about that?

When choosing a handbag to suit your personality you need to look at the 3 considerations listed above: color, size and label. Below you will find a list of these 3 elements and what each one indicates about your specific personality.

Choosing the Color

This element is fairly easy to identify. Obviously, brighter colors are an indication of a more social personality, one looking to grab the attention of others. If you want to be noticed, choose colors like bright green, yellow, pink and red.

Black, brown and other neutral colors are an indication of classic beauty. You want to be fashionable but you feel you can do so without bringing too much attention to yourself.

Choosing the Size

The size of your handbag may say more about your personality than you think. Bigger handbags are a clear indication of a woman who is high-maintenance. A large handbag says "hey, look at me; I have a lot of stuff because I need a lot of things to get through the day." Generally women who wear larger handbags are ones that carry their makeup, cell phones, iPods and other "necessities" with them all the time.

Smaller handbags (depending on the situation) are generally a sign of low-maintenance. These women don't need a lot of material things - just their wallet and maybe the odd lip gloss. They're not all that concerned with the way they look; they just want to be comfortable. The only exception to this rule is when women go to the bar. Generally, smart women carry smaller handbags to the bar because it's easier than carrying larger ones. Also, they can dance carrying the smaller designs, as opposed to a large, bulky handbag that is likely to get in the way.

Choosing the Designer Label

Much like the size, the designer of a woman's purse can clearly indicate whether she is high-maintenance or low-maintenance. Women who choose not to wear designer labels require less maintenance than those who opt for the labels. If she's sporting a Louis Vuitton, Burberry or Gucci purse, you better be willing to meet her standards.
